Aston Hearing Services Ltd is an independent private hearing aid practice. Susan Webster established the business in 1989 at Aston House in the village of West Wycombe.
As the business developed more space was required so Aston Hearing Services opened a consulting room in Loosley Row, near Princes Risborough and then the millennium year saw Aston Hearing Services opening a High Street shop with consulting rooms in the pretty village of Great Missenden.
After four happy years working from Great Missenden and Loosley Row it was felt that the business had developed to a stage where it was necessary to find premises that enabled everyone to work from one base. The summer of 2004 witnessed the most dramatic move to date; two offices were consolidated to one larger premises in the historic market town of Old Amersham.
The new premises are located in a pretty cobbled courtyard in Church Street, Old Amersham, just behind the High Street, opposite the St Mary’s Church. The period offices were originally three cottages and a coach house that were built to serve the old local Weller Brewery. The building still retains many of the original period features. As well as being very aesthetically pleasing the premises are very practical. There are three consulting rooms, two of which are on the ground floor and suitable for wheelchair access, the third room is on the first floor and offers a dedicated paediatric testing area. The cobbled courtyard is a quiet off road location – with convenient customer parking right outside the front door.
