Aston Hearing Services Winner for Best Business in Bloom Category
This year to celebrate our 20 year anniversary we decided to enter the Amersham in Bloom competition. We wanted to design the garden to celebrate the wonder of our senses, with a special emphasis on hearing. We are pleased to annouce that we have won first prize in the business catergory of the competition.
We coaxed Sue Webster out of retirement and asked her to plan our exhibition garden in "Celebration of our Senses". Sue enthusiastically took up the challenge and worked hard to create a wonderful feature in our very limited space, using the AHS colour scheme and our "senses theme" as inspiration. We are very pleased with the end result, the garden as a distinct feel of Provence about it, with lovely lavenders and terracotta that blends beautifully with our old brick and flint building.
To complement our garden we are featuring the Widex Hearing "Listening Wall’. Widex Hearing, are the Danish hearing aid manufacturer, very kindly lent us, the Listening Wall for the month of July. The Listening Wall was a feature of The Widex Hearing Garden. The Widex Hearing Garden was awarded Gold for best small garden at the 2008 RHS Hampton Court Flower Show. The RHS Gold Medal and Certificate are displayed in our reception for you to view.
We welcome you to come and explore our Sensory Garden at any time and hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed working on it. The garden will feature in the national competition of Britain in Bloom at the end of July, which will be judged by RHS judges, by which time we are hoping our garden will be in full bloom.
