In October 2009 Aston Hearing Services will be celebrating 20 years of service. To mark the occasion we would like you to join us in a “Celebration of Sound”.
We would like to encourage you and your friends to enter our creative competition. To enter you need to create a “piece” that celebrates sound to you in a personal way.
The “piece” can be photography, a drawing, painting, sculpture, embroidery or even poetry. The winning entry will, in the judges opinion, best represent a “Celebration of Sound”. The subject can include a focus on the ear, hearing or soundscape. The competition will be judged by a panel of five, each with an interest either in the arts or in hearing.
The closing date for the competition is 25th September 2009, the judging will take place on 2nd October and the winners will be announced at our anniversary party on Friday 16th October 2009.
All entries will be exhibited at our anniversary celebration and then we are hoping to produce a calendar featuring the twelve entries that the judges deem best celebrate sound.
The first prize is the The BOSE® WAVE® music system, designed to be compact and discreet enough to fit almost anywhere, with advanced acoustic technology. The second prize is a pair of BOSE® Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones and the third prize is a pair of Audeo Perfect Fit Earphones.

We would need to have access to the original piece for the judging on the 2nd October and then we would like to exhibit all the entries at our anniversary party on Friday 16th October 2009.
If we do not receive a minimum of 12 entries for the competition, the competition will be postponed or cancelled but all competitors will receive a gift voucher as a thank you for their interest and effort.
